In at least one of my previous posts I have made no doubts about the fact that I'm a skinflint. I have very limited funds and as a result, all of my shopping this summer has been bargain-hunting. It is SALE SEASON, people - when shops get rid of their Summer stock BEFORE Summer starts to bring in the Autumn/Winter collections. I have found some awesome deals this year, and as I'm a nice person like that (aw) I've decided to share them with you!
Deal #1: Miss Selfridge Jewellery Clearance
Okay, so Miss Selfridge (gorgeous shop but often substantial prices) are having a jewellery sale which is rocking my world. I got two GORGEOUS necklaces for prices so low, even I could afford them! Examine the pictures below, sigh at the beauty of my new babies and gasp at the prices I got them for:
Beaded Leaf Necklace
WAS: £14.50
I PAID: £3.50
This is simply stunning. I'd been after a statement necklace for a while to jazz up plain tops in summer and MY GOD does this fit the bill. It's striking, sparkly and has the most wonderful colour scheme. In love.
WAS: £16.50
I PAID: £5.50
Isn't this lovely? It was a bit of an impulse buy, as I had originally been after the leaf necklace above, but I saw this on the website, saw the price and thought "this needs to come home with me". I love, love, LOVE the colour scheme - it's so neutral and will go with anything. Perfect.
As you can probably tell from the tone of this post, I am chuffed to bits with these purchases! Best of all, I got free delivery (I ordered before 8pm)! Shopping bliss! If you like jewellery you MUST visit www.missselfridge.com and check out their sale - some pieces cost as little as £2.50, which is a snip and perfect for those of you on limited budgets.
Deal #2: New Look Sale
Yep, you've guessed it - the majority of these bargains are sale items. Don't judge me, okay? When you're unemployed you do tend to browse the sale items of shops before you even look at the normal stock. New Look is a lovely shop anyway, with lots of lovely clothes at affordable prices. I'd say it's the working girl's River Island or Topshop (because every time I visit River Island or Topshop I DO fall in love with something, but at the same time, my poor purse cries at the prices of all the lovely clothes). The New Look sales are always good, and although I haven't made any purchases from this particular sale (yet, hehe) I still thought I would share with you some examples of the sale items currently available - my picks of the sale, if you will.
Black Sleeveless Watermelon Print Bodycon Dress
WAS: £14.99
SALE PRICE: £10.00
I think this print is so lovely and quirky, perfect for the summer months. It's a real perky dress that will brighten any outfit, and has a perky price of only ten pounds to match.
White Lace Panel Vest
WAS: £8.99
SALE PRICE: £4.00
If you look carefully you'll see that this top has lovely lace detailing on the chest and sleeves, making it a simple summer staple. It is perfect for layering or adding a statement necklace to (*cough cough* maybe one of the ones I bought?), and is great for laid-back days out when you just want to keep cool and look pretty but casual. And £4? HELLO bargain!
WAS: £14.99
SALE PRICE: £7.00
This skirt is just darling, and I'm in love with the pretty print all over it. I'm a big fan of florals, and this skirt would look great paired with a simple tee (*cough cough* the one above, perhaps?) to glam up an outfit for a meal out or summer date (if you have that sort of thing on the cards). And it's under £10.00! The prices just keep falling! (Okay, now I'm starting to sound like a bad salesman. I think I should stop...)
All three of these glorious pieces sit in the "£10 Or Less" category, my favourite category of all time. Check out the New Look sale before you go away! www.newlook.com
Deal #3: Accessorize Sale
This sale is on the pricier side, but c'mon, it's Accessorize - a shop that has been the stuff of dreams for me ever since I was a child (yep, I'm a total saddo). I've recently purchased two items in this year's sale and I love them to bits, so I'll share them with you now.
Neon Clustered Jewel Pendant
WAS: £19.50 (winces)
I PAID: £9.50
I've completely guessed the name of this pendant as I have a feeling it has run out of stock, but here it is anyway. I love the colour of this pendant (funny, as I'm not a massive lover of neons) and I think it is unique and bold.
And that just about wraps up my summer snips and staples. Hope you enjoyed this blog post! Comments/ideas/constructive criticisms are always appreciated!
Hope you had a lovely day.
Olivia x
